Tirupati Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh is world famous. This temple on Mount Tirumala is dedicated to Sri Venkateswara Swamy, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Reddy has announced that the work of admitting people of other religions into Hinduism will also be done by the temple. Other religions who believe in Sanatan Dharma , gods and goddesses, will be included in Hinduism. He has also clarified that the temple will soon launch a Hindu Dharma Sanatan platform. Tirupati Balaji Temple is a major place of interest for Hindu devotees. Chola , Hoysala and Vijayanagara kings have contributed a lot in the construction of this temple. There are many legends about this temple.  

 

It is believed that Lord Vishnu lived for some time on the banks of a lake called Swami Pushkarani. This lake is near Tirumala. The hills surrounding this Tirupati are called ' Saptagiri ' .  These seven hills are believed to be on the seven feet of Sheshnaga. This temple of Sri Venkateswaraiah is said to be situated on the seventh hill of Saptagiri. According to another story, Ramanuja climbed this seventh hill of Tirupati in the 11th century. At this time Lord Venkatesh appeared before him and blessed him with long life. After that the fame of Lord Venkateswara spread far and wide. In the 9th century, the Pallavas of the royal family of Kanchipuram established their dominance over the area where the temple is situated.  In the 15th century, the Vijayanagar dynasty dominated the region.  During the British rule from 1843 to 1933 , this temple was managed by the Mahant of Hatti Ramji Math.  In 1933 , the Madras government took over the management of this temple. At the same time, an independent management committee ' Tirumala-Tirupati ' was formed. Every day more than 1 lakh devotees visit the temple to have darshan of Lord Vykantesha. Apart from the main temple of Lord Venkatesh, there are also temples of other deities in this temple area. The doors and pavilions of all these temples are very grand.
