Elections were even held last week in Mizoram, a state in the north-east of India with a population of a few lakhs. The results of these elections were announced on Monday. Earlier, the results of assembly elections in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana in India were announced. (Baryl Vanneihsangi)

Actually, the counting of votes in all these five states was to be held on the same day. But on the previous day, the election commission announced that the election results in Mizoram will be declared one day late. Of course, no one was curious about the result in this state except the North-Eastern state of the country. Despite the announcement of the Mizoram result a day late in the election results of the other four states, no one paid much attention to it.

But in this result, one person's name came forward, and only one search campaign was started on social media. Her name is Beryl Vannehsangi. News of Beryl Vannehsangi, a 32-year-old woman MLA, was received and the search for Beryl's name began. A massive search operation is currently underway on social media to find out more about the singer, RJ, Beryl. Beryl will be the youngest MLA in the Mizoram Assembly. (Baryl Vanneihsangi)

Lalduhoma's party won in the recent elections. In the Mizoram assembly elections, women candidates have won three of the 40 seats. Beryl is one of the candidates. Beryl is best known as an RJ and TV anchor. The news came that Beryl had won, and his name was proclaimed everywhere.

Since Beryl stood for election, she has been criticized by many. Basically, even when he asked for a ticket for the assembly, many people made fun of him. Beryl was mocked saying it's an assembly, not a TV show. But Beryl remained firm. He got the ticket, he made an honest effort to convey his thoughts to the voters. She was successful in conveying her ideas to women in particular. As a result, Beryl Vannehsangi has become the youngest woman MLA of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly. (Baryl Vanneihsangi)

Mizoram is a north-eastern state of India. Mizoram , with a population of a few lakhs,  has a literacy rate above 91 percent. In Mizoram, with Aizawl as its capital, the election results were declared on December 4 , 2023 . Beryl Vannehsangi won with a total of 9,370 votes .  

Beryl Vannehsangi started her career as an RJ.  After that she entered politics.  She contested the Aizawl Municipal Corporation elections and was elected as a corporator. Beryl Wanehsangi has done her Masters from North Eastern Hill University , Shillong. His father's name is Wanrochuang.  Beryl, who was single, was initially criticized by many.  He was trended on social media and mocked. But most of all Beryl focused on her female voters and achieved success. Mizoram still has a patriarchal society. Women cannot exercise their rights. We are going to be a support for such women. The women supported Beryl's promise to take women out of the confines of the home and make them realize their independent existence.

A total of 16 women contested the assembly elections in Mizoram this time Lalramdinggheti and Lalruatpheli Halwando contested two seats each as independents. Prowa Chakma, Lalrinpui and Baril Vanihsangi, three women, will now also represent women in the Legislative Assembly. This is the highest number of women MLAs in the Mizoram Legislative Assembly so far. Baril said it was a proud moment for the women of Mizora. But along with this, he has said that he will do his best to fulfill the expectations of those who gave us a chance to change the system. Beryl, who ignored his critics and won the assembly, is in the news because of his confidence.
