Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma has been entertaining audiences for the past 15 years. Children to old people enjoy watching this show. Some of the famous actors of this serial which started in 2008 have bid farewell to it. But today it is in the TRP top 10 list of this program on Sony SAB. But very few people know that Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma is actually a story of the famous Gujar writer Tarak Mehta. (Taarak Mehta)

Writer Tarak Mehta used to write a column called Undha Chashma in a Gujarati newspaper. He then got inspired by this and wrote a book in Gujarati titled Tarak Mehta Ka Undha Chashma and then with the help of this book producer Asid Modi made a new Hindi serial for SAB TV. Considering the popularity of 79-year-old author Tarak Mehta in Gujarat and Maharashtra markets, the show was named after him. Writers are not with us today to see the popularity of this show.

Tarak Mehta passed away at the age of 87 on March 1, 2017 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat due to prolonged illness. He wrote more than 80 books in his career. He was honored with the Padma Shri award in 2015. It is because of his significant contribution that today Tarak Mehta rules the hearts of millions of viewers. While working on the show under his design, the new writers make sure that the show will follow Tarak Mehta's theory. Famous actor Shailesh Lodha played the role of Tarak Mehta in this serial. After Shailesh said goodbye to the show, Sachin Shrop has become Tarak Mehta. (Taarak Mehta)

Tarak Mehta always wanted to make a show out of his book. So that the audience gets something to learn and not just watch from an entertainment point of view, people will always be inspired to do better in life. They felt that the serial should not contain violence or hurt anyone's feelings. Today, the entire team of Tarak Mehta strives to honor this very principle.
