Magnificent forms of Lord Vishnu in Indonesia


 Indonesia is the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. Jakarta is the capital of this country and Indonesia is popular for tourism. Mainly, despite being a Muslim country, the country has huge statues of many Hindu deities. Indonesians say that this is all our heritage and we are proud of it. A statue of Lord Vishnu in Indonesia is world famous. This idol of Lord Vishnu is claimed to be the tallest in the world. It is surprising that the world's largest idol of Lord Vishnu is not in India but in Indonesia. Most Hindus live in Bali, Indonesia. Many historical temples of Hinduism are preserved in this Bali. Apart from this, there are many temples in Bali and they are very well preserved as the heritage of the country.

About 2 per year to the city of Bali in IndonesiaCrores of foreign tourists visit. Bali is a developed city in Indonesia. Surprisingly, almost every street in Bali has temples of Hindu deities. Apart from this, the world's tallest idol of Lord Vishnu is in Bali itself. The height of this statue is 122 meters. This idol of Lord Vishnu is also considered as the third tallest idol in the world. This idol of Lord Vishnu is seated on an eagle. This is a statue of Lord Vishnu in a park on top of Ungasan hill in Bali. Millions of tourists come to see this idol seen from afar. Aerial darshan of this idol has also been arranged. Tourists are fascinated by seeing the magnificent form of Lord Vishnu. This magnificent idol of Lord Vishnu has been created by senior sculptor Bappa Newman Nuarta. He has also been honored by the Government of India in recognition of his art.  

This statue of Lord Vishnu in Bali is also known as Statue of Garuda. Basically, this magnificent statue is at such a high place, that one would be amazed to see its height. Crores of rupees have been spent to make this idol made using copper and brass.  

This idol of Lord Vishnu is about 122 feet tall and 64 feet wide. It took 24 years to make this idol .  This idol was completed in 2018 . Anyone wondering why it took so many years to make the idol of Lord Vishnu, should see this idol closely. Because this form of Lord Vishnu is very elegant and magnificent using copper and brass. Moreover, the vehicle of Lord Vishnu, Garuda, is also very magnificently depicted here. The work of this idol in Bali was started in the year 1994 , but after the work started, the budget of the idol increased drastically. Due to this, the construction work of the idol was affected but later the work was resumed. Approximately $100 for the figurineIt cost a million. Now millions of Vishnu devotees from all over the world flock to Indonesia to see this idol.  

Although Indonesia is a Muslim country, many images of Hinduism are preserved here. There are also pictures and idols on many stories of Lord Vishnu and Lord Rama. The magnificent idol of Lord Vishnu is said to be inspired by the Hindu mythology of searching for the eagle and the elixir of life. While making this idol, the risk of a major earthquake was first taken into consideration. It is said that this idol is capable of withstanding storms and earthquakes and there is no danger to this idol for the next 100 years. The weight of this idol is 4000 tons. Although the idol is made using copper and brass, it has a stainless steel frame inside.   The golden crown on this idol of Lord Vishnu is shown slightly tilted.

20 year old ghee to be used for Lord Ram's aarti
