Himalayan gold hit by climate.

The most expensive drug in the world is a type of fungus, and its name is Yarsa gumba. Yarsa Gumba is an expensive medicine found in the Himalayan region. Yarsa Gumba has been given the name of gold in this area. Because the economy of this area depends on the availability of this medicine. Yarsa Gumba is also known as Himalayan Viagra. Locals travel day and night in search of this precious medicine found in the Yakho during certain seasons. Its sale provides livelihood to many families. But now this Yarsa Gumba has become rare. It is clear that there is a small amount of this medicine this year. Researchers say that Yarsa Gumba has been affected by the changing climate. Therefore, the time of starvation has come for many families.

Yarsa gumba is the world's most expensive drug used in medicine. It is a type of fungus, which grows on a caterpillar. But after the process of this fungus is completed, it has many medicinal values. It is used in many types of medicine. They are so valuable that the locals call it Himalayan gold. Yarsa gumba is also used to remove physical weakness. That is why it is also known as Himalayan Viagra.

The herb Yarsa Gumba is found at the foot of the snow peaks of India, China and Nepal. In order to find it, many citizens of this area literally roam the hills day and night. Because the price of one kg of this Yarsa gumba in the international market is up to 20 lakh rupees. Even if only a few villages get Yarsa Gumba, the locals here are happy. That is why every year there is a sight of families traveling to this area to collect this medicine. But this year Yarsa Gumba has been hit by climate change. A very small amount of this fungus is formed. Even in the Himalayan valleys, it was said that due to the increase in temperature, the process of fungus formation stopped. As a result, the income of lakhs of locals is also threatened.

Yarsa means summer insect and gumba means summer plant. This fungus grows on caterpillars, so it is also called wormwood. Yarsa Gumba is a Tibetan word. This herb looks like grass. Yarsa Gumba is worth millions. But before that, it is interesting to know how the fungus develops. This fungus attacks moth larvae living underground. This fungus uses the body of this insect when there is a snow cover in the area. This insect is like a caterpillar.

As the worm lives on the hair for almost a year, the fungus grows like a herb or grass in the summer of the following year. That is why the local Yarsa gumba is called winter worm or summer grass. This fungus attacks 57 species of insects. But the fungus that grows on caterpillars is the most valuable. And the price is in lakhs. This fungus found on caterpillars is like a multi-purpose medicine. It cures asthma, cancer and liver, kidney and lung diseases. Yarsa Gumba is in high demand in the markets of China, America, Britain, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia.

Every year due to this there is a turnover of crores in this area. But this year all this turnover has cooled down. Because Yarsa Gumba has very little quantity. Yarsa gumba requires a cool climate for growth. But due to climate change the temperature has increased. As a result, the amount of fungus has reduced.

In Sikkim and Uttarakhand, India, this Yarsa temple is carefully preserved. Yarsa gumba is produced in the same way as silkworms are stored. In view of its medicinal value, strict rules have been drawn up regarding this cultivation. Yarsa gumba fetches Rs 40 to 50 lakh per kg to traders in the international market. A large economy is behind this fungus. Efforts are being made to make it permanent.
