This is the reason behind not keeping Shani idol in the house

In Hinduism, idols of most gods and goddesses are kept at home for worship. But Shani is the only deity whose idol or photo is prohibited in the temple. Let's know more about….

Shani Dev :
According to religious stories, Lord Shani Dev is considered as the god of justice. Saturday is dedicated to Lord Shani. Pleasing them brings their blessings. On the other hand, people who are ruled by Shani always face problems in their lives. Due to this, most of the people go to the temple of Shani Dev on Saturdays to get the blessings of Shani Dev.

Most of the gods and goddesses are worshiped in Hinduism. People worship their deity by keeping an idol or photo of it in their house. It is considered auspicious to have pictures of gods and goddesses in the house. But in Hinduism it is considered auspicious to keep an idol only in the house where God is worshiped regularly. But Shani is the only god, we cannot keep his idol in the house.

According to religious beliefs, it is considered inauspicious to keep an idol or photo of Lord Shani in the house. There is a mythological story behind not keeping the idol of Lord Shani in the house. Shani was cursed accordingly. According to that curse, the person on whom Shani Dev falls in his sight will face troubles.

Mythology
According to mythology, Lord Shani was a great devotee of Lord Krishna. Shani Dev was always absorbed in his devotion. Once Shanidev's wife came to meet him. Even at that time Shani Dev was engrossed in the devotion of Shri Krishna. Shanidev's wife tried hard to talk to him but to no avail.

This made Shani Dev's wife angry and she cursed Shani Dev. Shanidev's wife while cursing said that everything will be unlucky on whomsoever Shanidev's sight falls. After that, Shanidev realized his mistake and asked his wife to withdraw Shram. But the wife had no power to undo the curse. It is for this reason that Shani Dev walks with his head down. So that their vision does not fall on someone and make him unhappy. (Shani Dev)

Shani Dev's photo or idol is not kept in the house so as not to fall on the person. Therefore Shani Dev is worshiped only by going to the temple. Apart from this, the idol of Shani should not be seen with the eyes but should be touched by his feet.
