These royal priestly communities started worshiping Hingla Mata as their deity.  It is known that the Hinglaj Mata temple existed even before the arrival of the Rajpurohit community. Hence, the temple is said to be more than a thousand years old. Moreover, the idol of Hinglaj Mata is self-made. Devotees believe that this Mother never sends her devotees away empty-handed. The temple is about one hundred and fifty feet above the ground. Navratri festival is celebrated in a big way in the temple. During this period, Athwela Aarti of Devi is performed. At this time, grain is sown in front of the goddess and a screen is placed. This veil is removed after Havan on Ashtami. After this veil is removed, the grain of the field is predicted based on how the grain sown in front of the idol of the Mother has grown. A large number of farmers from the entire Jodhpur area are present on this occasion. Locals have great faith in this Hinglaj mother. No structure is built in this area that will go over the mother's temple. If that happens, it is believed that the mother gets angry. All the houses and buildings built here are much lower than the height of this mountain. Because of this, the mother is said to have mercy on everyone.
