Aadhaar card is generated once in a person's lifetime. Which is issued by UIDAI ie Unique Identification Authority of India. No person can hold more than one Aadhaar card. Aadhaar card has a unique 12 digit number. It contains all the information related to the person. If there is a mistake while creating the Aadhaar card, it can be rectified by going to the Aadhaar Center. However, UIDAI has created a limit for changing name, address and date of birth on Aadhaar card.

How many times name can be changed

UIDAI Aadhaar card holder can change name twice. Aadhaar data cannot be changed frequently. So the date of birth can be changed only once. Also, if you want to change the address, there is no limit. Apart from this gender change can be done only once.

How to change the name?

Aadhaar Card can be changed by going to Aadhaar Centre. Also, UIDI has provided the facility to change the Aadhaar card online at home. For this the Aadhaar card holder has to log in to the official website of UIDAI https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ . Then select the name change option and attach the required documents. Then submit and click send OTP. OTP will be sent to registered phone. Then your application will be submitted. After accepting the application, you can download the updated Aadhaar card online or also take a hard copy. (Aadhar Card)

It is also very important to digitally sign the Aadhaar card. Because Aadhaar card cannot be used officially without signature. This is why you must verify the digital signature on your Aadhaar card. This signature is considered fully valid. Digital signature on Aadhaar card is accepted by UIDAI.
